Tucson Illini Club
2009-2010 Membership Form
Did you know there are over 1,000 University of Illinois alums living in the Tucson area? That’s quite a collective presence here in Southern Arizona! Wouldn’t it be great to get together with other alums from time to time to watch a football or basketball game and cheer for our team? Or, attend one of our many social functions throughout the year? The Tucson Illini Club was formed over 20 years ago to provide a means for Illini alums living in the Tucson area to get together informally and have fun. There is no time commitment or obligation to attend events that will be offered this year, and membership in the Illinois Alumni Association isn’t required.
Our plans for this year include regular game watches at a local sports bar (where we will also raffle off Arizona football tickets), spring training baseball, dinner with a University of Illinois representative, and theater/play events.
It’s interesting to think there are a lot of us living here that share a common thread – being a part of the University of Illinois family! Think back for a moment of all the students you met while you were on campus that lived perhaps in your town or towns you never heard of before. Joining the Tucson Illini Club and attending (when time allows) a game watch, for instance, enables you to reconnect not only with the U of I, but also Illinois itself, where so many of us grew up.
We are non-profit, our membership cost is low, there is no time obligation on your part, and you will have a great time at our game watches and other events. Give us a try. We’d look forward to having you as a member! Recent graduates (class of 2007, 2008 and 2009) are invited to join their first year for free!
Membership in the University of Illinois Alumni Association, while encouraged, is not required, and does not automatically make you a member of the Tucson Illini Club. You can pay your dues by clicking on the link to the membership form, completing & printing the form and then mail it with your check.
Thanks and Go Illini!
